But more than that, this is a movement for anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in their head — and is ready to feel differently.

A Message from Alycia,

Founder of Morning Mindfulness

I grew up in a tiny coastal town on the mid-north coast of Australia — a population of just 1,764 people. Like many Australian communities, ours had its share of beauty, but also unspoken struggles.
There was no real access to mental health support. No one taught us how to regulate our emotions, how to sit with discomfort, or how to process the chaos that life sometimes brings.

What we did have was a culture of drinking, domestic violence in homes, and silence. I watched the heartbreaking ripple effects of suicide move through our high school — a devastating result of a community without tools.

And like many others, I coped the only way I knew how: by keeping busy. From the age of 17, I moved solo across three different states in Australia, chasing external fixes. Clean eating, intense fitness, career ambition — I kept going, doing, achieving... until I couldn’t ignore the truth anymore.

I was terrified of stillness — because I didn’t know how to sit with my own thoughts.

Our Mission

At Morning Mindfulness, we believe that when people are given the right tools — they thrive.
Our mission is to support mental health through evidence-based breathwork, mindfulness classes, nervous system education, and trauma-aware community experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and one another.

  • Partnered with universities to deliver student wellbeing programs

  • Hosted sold-out retreats across Newcastle and beyond

  • Expanded into international wellness retreats launching 2024

The Moment Everything Changed

It wasn’t until a chance encounter with a community Wim Hof breathwork class on the Sunshine Coast that something shifted. In a 30-minute session, I experienced something I had never felt before:
Silence. Stillness. Peace.
For the first time in my life, my mind went quiet — and in that fleeting moment, I knew I’d found something powerful.

From there, I dove headfirst into breathwork, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed mindfulness, and holistic mental health education.
What started as personal healing quickly became my life’s work.

FAQs

  • Morning Mindfulness is a service offering business that hosts classes, workshops, retreats and wellness initiatives.

    Our core services are breathwork, meditation, mindset coaching and yoga education and classes.

  • We are a Newcastle, Australia based service business. However we are always seeking opportunities to expand and introduce our offerings in other locations, so feel free to reach out if you would like to see us in your area!

  • All weekly classes are a flat rate of $24.99, we also offer class packs that reduce this cost per class.

  • Alycia is the facilitator of all classes and has undergone in-depth training in breathwork, meditation, trauma informed teaching, somatic bodywork and much more. Alycia is a knowledge enthusiast and is always continually upskilling. You can see her credentials attached at the bottom of this page.

    Here at Morning Mindfulness we strongly believe in safety and providing educational and powerful expeliences and therefor all guest facilitators are fully qualified in ther fields.
